RESOURCES

This page brings together publicly available support services across Aotearoa New Zealand and Hawke’s Bay.

These include national helplines, mental health and wellbeing supports, kaupapa Māori services, NGO providers, and community-based services that may be helpful at different points in life.

For some people, these services may be a first step in finding support, understanding what is needed, or accessing care before or alongside private therapy. They form part of a wider network of support that can be drawn on in different ways depending on your situation.

Alongside these listings, this page will gradually expand over time. You will see buttons for different topics on this page, which will over time be connected with further specific resources, explanations, and curated information. These will be developed progressively and added as the resource section grows.

If you are in immediate distress or at risk, please contact emergency services or one of the crisis support lines listed below.

Local support — Hawke’s Bay (complete directory)

This section includes publicly funded services, NGO providers, kaupapa Māori organisations, and community supports available across Hawke’s Bay. These services form part of a wider support system that people and families may access at different points. For some, they can be a first step in finding support, understanding what is needed, and exploring what level of care may be most helpful before or alongside private therapeutic work.

In some situations, the structure and focus of public or community services means there are natural limits to the depth, continuity, or type of therapeutic work that can be offered. Private systemic therapy can then provide a complementary space where more complex, long-standing, or intergenerational relational and emotional patterns can be explored in greater depth.

Where helpful and with consent, I can also work alongside these services to support a more integrated and coordinated approach across different systems of care.
